Focus on the french artist Pierre Armand : Art & Object

[EN] Focus, this week on the French artist Armand, painter and sculptor,whose work is currently honored in an exhibition at the Art-Centre Georges Pompidou (in Paris). His work, which survived his life, and now comes to us, intact, as fixed by time. This exhibition reveals the artist's work around the "object" and a relationship with modern society between sacred and consumption ... To see NOW and until the 10th January 2011 !

[FR] Le portrait de la semaine est cette fois consacré à Armand, peintre, sculpteur et plasticien de talent que le centre Georges Pompidou à décidé de mettre à l'honneur cet automne dans une exposition "ARMAND - La diagonale du fou". L'oeuvre, qui lui a survécu, nous parvient, intacte, comme figé par le temps ; cette exposition dévoile l'univers de l'artiste autour de "l'objet" et de son rapport entrentenu avec la société moderne, entre sacralisation et consommation... Une exposition à voir sans plus attendre !
